The night ends with our signature tradition: the crowning of Phizzfest’s Best Pub, as voted by you.

Bringing together a rich mix of artists and community voices, this event explores what ‘home’ means – from identity and belonging to the memories and migrations that shape us.

A reflective, creative celebration that invites audiences to connect with the stories that define who we are and how we imagine home in a changing world. We are honoured to welcome Eman Mohammed, Gráinnemir, Wasekera Chiphazi Banda and Donal O’Kelly as contributors to this very special event.

Join Afri (Action from Ireland) and local historian, Harry Ardiff,  to uncover the story of the 1,490 Strokestown emigrants forced to flee during An Gorta Mór – the Great Hunger.

Gathering at the Bronze Shoes at the 6th Lock on the Royal Canal, we reflect on loss, survival and the harrowing coffin-ship voyages of 1847 across the Atlantic.
