Join us as we explore what lies beneath the placid surface of the Royal Canal. A family friendly event co-hosted with Phibsboro Village Tidy Towns and Shandon Residents Association supported by the Local Authority Waters Programme.
Musician and teacher Shane McGrath will take us on a wonderful musical journey. We will be singing along, playing percussive instruments and using our acting skills to bring stories to life. Wear your silly hat and come ready to enjoy a whimsical adventure. Don’t be late for this very important date! Suitable for children aged 2-6 years. Maximum 20 participants.
Prizes galore in this tension-filled festival favourite! Keep an eye out for our yellow barrow selling ducks at pop-up locations in Phibsborough in the week before and on the canal during the Community and Family Day. The race itself will take place west of the 6th lock.
The challenge is simple! Build your homemade raft, launch it into the canal and try to stay out the water while racing your way to the finish line. This fun event will have prizes for those who manage to stay dry, most inventive designs and most creative decoration!
